Internet Advertising is a fast way
to grow your online business. There are a few methods of internet
advertising that I find highly rewarding and would like to talk
about. The first being PayPerClick (PPC) advertising. PayPerClick
is exactly what it sounds like. You pay for each click that your
keyword receives. You can see examples of PPC adverting everywhere...
They are the small text ads you see in top of most search results,
they are banner ads on websites, their is even some PayPerClick
advertising on this webpage you are viewing right now! Prices for
these "keyword" generated ads can range from $.01 to $100.00!
I specialize in finding the best "niche keywords" that
will drive customers to your website at the lowest possible cost
for you. To give you an example: the keyword "Nike Shoes"
going rate (at this time) is $1.19/click, but if you were to choose
the keyword "Air Jordans For Sale" the click rate is $0.36
cents. So you can see how choosing the right keywords can play an
important factor in your PPC program.
The next form of Internet Advertising I'd like to introduce is
called CPM advertising or "Cost Per Thousand". The "M"
is a roman numeral for thousand. For every 1,000 times your ad is
viewed or "page is refreshed" you pay a set amount. Most
of the big publisher websites offer some type of CPM advertising
for websites that are trying to get there name out there. If you
don't have the time to look for these individual publisher websites
its best to find a good reliable 3rd party ad agency (I know a few
good ones). They will take your ad that you have created and blast
it all throughout there many, many publisher websites signed up
in there program. Some examples of these style ads can be found
on most Social Networking websites such as Myspace or Facebook.
So which internet advertising program is right for you? Both are
great, but they have both are good for different things. If you
are a small business with some good niche products for sale, I would
say stick with PPC programs. They are low cost and if performed
correctly can sore your ROI (Return On Investment). If you are a
larger company with a revolutionary product, CPM advertising is
a great method for you. A good example of this method being used
is for the product "The Rolling Razor". It is one of those
revolutionary products that change the way something works, and
is great for CPM.
